Mel's Latte Tour: Toute Suite, Houston, TX

I love a good latte. I also love going to coffee shops that aren't large chains. Nothing against the S-word, of course. I just like to support local businesses. My only requirement is work space and WiFi.

One of my favorites in Houston, where I live, is Tout Suite (pronounce "too sweet"). I go often because they meet all of my requirements, plus more!

They have a good selection of caffeine, pastries, and macarons, if you're into those. They also serve your food in the cutest, Instagrammable way!

They also serve some pretty good food. My favorite is the smoked salmon toast with creme fraiche, fried capers, and dill.

Because of it's location, it's great for a stop-in to grab a latte to go.

If you have the time to sit down, they have fast and reliable WiFi, a great selection of local magazines to read, plenty of space to work, and a huge window that is great for people watching.
